The Babies

Hudson Cradle serves babies ages birth to eighteen months. Most of the babies Hudson Cradle cares for are prenatally drug exposed, some are HIV exposed, over half have been born too early or too small, and some are victims of child abuse and neglect. Hudson Cradle works with infants of diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Virtually all of the infants Hudson Cradle assists are from economically disadvantaged families. Most of the infants served are Hudson County residents, but babies from all over New Jersey are welcome. Babies are placed at Hudson Cradle by the Division of Youth and Family Services. The babies served are among the most vulnerable with New Jersey's child welfare system.
